Beaulieu 4008 tape recorder sync outs

Post by mike »

I have a beaulieu 4008 and on the back of the camera there are two sockets, below the charge and remote sockets, which on the manual state that they are to start and stop a tape recorder. What kind of cable (s) do I need and which recorder has the capability to accept the lines?

The two small sockets are used for start and stop of the recorder simultaneously with the camera. One of them close a circuit when the camera starts and open the circuit when stoping the camera, the other socket operates the opposite way.
The left hand socket (with a red dot under the cover) is for a Uher type recorder.
