Help with using Kowa anamorphic

Hello,

I recently 'aquired' a Kowa anamorphic lens (identical to this : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1946818027) which i intend to use for super8 widescreen.

I was hoping someone here could give me a "focusing for dummies" guide on using an anamorphic lens.

Do I need to set the anamorphic to infinity and just use the cameras fixed lens to focus or vice versa? or do both lenses need focusing perhaps?

I appreciate any help with this

to focus an Anamorphic set-up, first set the Anamorphic to the aproximate distance of your subject, Then at full telephoto focus the camera lens until you get a sharp image in the viewfinder, you may need to fine tune the Anamorphic lens to bring the sublect into sharp focus.
