The aesthetics of K40 is why most of us use it and love it.
Especially those of us who project film.
If you are finishing on video you'd be better off with a lower contrast stock.

That's the thing I love about K40 too. Same with 7276.
When I watch some old movies, especially japnese films from the late '60s to the '80s (color) or hollywood stuff from the 40's (B+W), it kills me to think about how movies will never look like that again.
Not that the new stocks are bad, but I wish they would keep older stocks around so filmmakers can get that look if they want to.
