New Kodak Cartridges

Does anybody out there know if the infamous defective Kodachrome cartridge fiasco has been resolved? Are the newest batchs still causing problems? I'm currently shooting a documentary about ghost towns in 35mm but I have a segment that I want to do in Super-8 to blow up to 35mm. But I want to make sure I'm buying good film first.
