I think it is the best thing to come out of Rochester...I haven't shot it in Std 16 but Super16/35 it looks great. I really think Kodak is doing some good stuff with updating their line.
The 52/7212 is in my opinion the go to stock for most shooting conditions. I like it a bit more than the 200. I haven't push/pulled it yet hopefully I will be able to do that in the next couple of weeks.
Good Luck

I got this off a website, don't remember which one at the moment:
KODAK INTRODUCES THE SHARPEST COLOR NEGATIVE FILM EVER!
Two new Vision 2 filmstocks:Vision 2 5212/7212 100T; Vision 2 5217/7217 200T
The new Vision 2 100T is the sharpest color negative film available. MTF performance is over 100% at 20 lp/mm and 35% at 90 lp/mm. The resolution limit of 20% MTF is not reached untill 150 lp/mm in the green layer.
This translates to an equivalent image resolution of 2150 horizontal lines at 35% MTF and nearly 3600 lines at 20% MTF for Super 16 film. This exceeds the 1550 horizontal line resoluton (at 35% MTF) of 1080/24p HDCAM Video by 40 PERCENT! The superb 90%+ MTF at 30 lp/mm means Super 16 film will provide 90% MTF repsponse at the MAXIMUM NTSC horizontal resolution of 720 lines. No standard definition video camera can match this performance.

Vision2 7212
This stock is great.
I agree with Nigel's comments.
From the video transfer perspective all the
Vision 2 films are a real improvment. Less grain more lattitude.
I wish they cut it for S8.
