I'm just giving Beaulieu owners another recommendation for Bjorn Andersson's repair services. I sent 2 abused 4008s to him and they returned in excellent shape. Bjorn did very thorough overhauls (clean, lube, calibration, collimation, etc.), repaired and replaced parts on the bodies and the lenses, provided some hard to find accesories, modified my power supply, and even fixed some cosmetic blemishes. All of this in a professional manner and at a very reasonable cost. Thanks Bjorn!

For comprehensive overhauls, ALOT of repairs, and accessories for TWO 4008s, I paid around $550. Keep in mind that these cameras were in BAD shape (water damage, heat damage), and had suffered some poorly exucuted amateur repair attempts. One of them sounded like a jackhammer when it ran. I just filmed with them yesterday and they're super smooth, clean, and very quite. I keep finding parts that he fixed, replaced, or adjusted. Considering what others are charging for these services (I checked with the manufacturer and super 8 sound), I think I got alot more than I paid for.

Shouldn't that be.... Beaulieu RE-BJORN !!!!

I have to send my 4008 to him.... the good reports here make it sound like he could really improve my camera.
