Ideas for My Next Film..

Post by perthskydiver »

Hello all...

This is a really broad question so here goes....

I'm looking at doing a short film, probably about 7-15mins in length on Super Duper 8. My problem is i'm stuck for an idea on what to film it on! I'm thinking something really simple like the life of an animal for a day or something a little bit different & wierd perhaps. Maybe even a short documentary.

I'm not looking to make a masterpiece or saleable film, just something to help me get some more experience in shooting super duper 8 & give my creative skills a bit of a workout...

Any ideas will be appreciated....

How about a short documentary about converting a S8 movie camera into the Super-Duper-8 format?

Result will be you have a short and another SD8 camera at your hands...

... and if the doc is okay you can even sell it cheaply to others on DVD or SVCD that would like to do the same.

cool idea but not really what I was looking for..

I was thinking something with more of a storyline rather than a DIY tech thing...

A filmmaker, looking for ideas for a film, posts a request for ideas on the internet. After receiving only smart-ass, facetious suggestions, he decides to hunt down and kill all those who responded to his message, and make a film about it.

How about something to do with the Avon descent (white water canoeing) and its competitors?

Do you have an animal rescue organizations like a Humane Society or ASPCA like there are here in the United States. A film following a single animal from rescue to new home would be a nice short documentary in the animal category.
