The photographer I have chosen for my wedding next year is female.

The photographer we chose for our wedding was a women, chosen by word of mouth recommendation. The results were as sensational as we had been led to expect. When it comes to creativity, theres nothing to choose between us. When it comes to techy stuff though, the ladies generally couldn't care less. I enjoy using Standard 8 because I have to fiddle about and set everying manually and because the film is hard to get and because I have to change it over half way through. While I'm mucking around with it, my wife, who is an illustrator, looks on with benign amusement.

I wonder if I'm an atypical woman then. I love the techie side of Super 8 as well! I'm thinking of attempting regular 8 because the film stock is really obscure, and learning to process it myself. I've also become fascinated with analog reel to reel sound recording and manual editing, because it's so difficult!

Maybe I've got a man's brain by mistake..... 8)
