Sound Projection.

Post by ploppy »

Do super 8 sound projectors need to be run at 24 FPS to play sound film?
They also seem to come with Variable Speed, does this control allow fine tuning of the speed or does it have preset speeds like, 18, 24 etc...

Can you anyone reccomend a couple of good sound projectors to loook out for? I cant afford anything to hugely expensive....what are the Eumig projectors like?? also is it relatively easy to replace the bulbs...what if i wanted a lower wattage one for video transfer? ie....no hotspot.

thanks for any help anyone can provide..projection issues never seem to be covered as well as cameras!

Best is to buy a projector with 150 watts for bright large projections. Mostly they come with 24 and 18 fps. Finetuning speed may be of use when transferring film to video (see "telecine" above in the top bar of this site).

I recently got a Bauer t 502. I'm very happy with it. The mostly go for round 200USD/Euro at e bay.
