Goo Gone Film Cleaner???

Post by jhoneycutt »

Hello...

I read about a product called Goo Gone (sold at WalMart and other places) that is suppose to be good as a film cleaner.

Has anyone used this stuff?

Here is a link at a film site that talks about it (scroll down to the bottom of the page):

I would hesitate using a product designed as an adhesive remover for use as a film cleaner. Just my thoughts..... :?

I would advice against it.. The thing with reading advices on here (or the internet in general) is there are ten million products out there and everyone digs a different cup of tea. I always keep a bottle handy because they remove tape residue perfectly and are great firestarters. :D However, I can't imagine these stuff on film, no..

Hey, maybe we can have an international "Burning lab can festival?" :D

Don't anyone try this at home but I heard lighter fluid works either as a film cleaner or for wet-gating.
