shooting slides off a screen
My wife wants to shoot (7240) of a 35mm slide projected on a screen for an art project. What is the best way to do this. The audience needs to see the screen otherwise we'd do some sort of copy-stand type maneuver. Any ideas for best resolution? It's part of a narrative story, it's going to cut away to different exterior shots.
I've just been through this to film some slides to add the material to a documentary.
With a standard domestic slide projector, with a 100 - 150 W lamp, image brightness is a problem. Using 125 ASA Ektachrome with the camera filter out, I still could only cope with a fairly small picture (about 70 cm across). Even then I had to use a directional glass-beaded screen to get the exposure down to f/2.8.
