Thanks for sharing your experiences in the making of your film. This film has, IMHO, the best Kodachrome photography I have ever seen. Anyone who doubts or wonders about the image capability of this legendary filmstock should take a tour of your website. Alas, you ran up against some of the problems we all face with the cartridge film = image breathing. I would love to see DS-8mm and roll film of S-8mm (say in 100ft or 200ft daylight loading spools) Kodachrome and other stocks so that the S-8mm gauge can progress as a serious medium. Your efforts to surmount sound problems are common. Maybe because of guys like you, we will all be able to produce the films we want to make in our favorite gauge. You say your next film will be shot in 16mm if possible. Bravo! I love 16mm. I was very impressed with the model shot of the Junkers WWII transport. I have seen some of Roger's model process shots and he does a great job. Good luck.

I have to agree about the wonderful results you have got out of the medium, Scott. Your shots look great. But why the vignetting? I don't get it. How will you crop this away? I've never had this, and don't know what it's caused by. Can you explain what it is and what you're going to do to get rid of it?

Many thanks, your cinematography lends much weight to your exellent advice on shooting with K40

Hi Lucas - the vingetting was caused by the lens hood - and only came in when we had the zoom pulled right back on wide. I don't know why but it wasn't visible in the viewfinder. It's a pain in the butt but not a major problem -I'm editing in Adobe Premiere and just crop it out with the crop filter - but still it'd be better if it wasn't there - it doesn't effect the picture quality much once it's cropped but it does effect the framing a little

-- just one of those things we've now got to live with - luckily I'm finishing on video!
