WHICH FILM??

Hi super8 people. Lots of Questions from a first time user of Sooper Ayt Philm.

I have a Nizo S800, ive heard its good. Not used it yet. I am awaiting my K40 to arrive. Does the K40 have the older, cool, rich look that i think it will have? Secondly, whats the Ekta VNF film like? Im keen to try out different stocks really! Also, is it worth trying out the Vision neg stock, what does this look like compared with more traditional film like Kodachrome?.....Finally, what is the best DIY no budget way to transfer to tape....I have a Sony PD150, and will try and get projector soon. which Prjector is worth looking out for? Has anyone ever tried to scan the film straight in to PC??? I will edit on a professional NLE suite, (.AVI format)
there is software i know to scan and convert 8mm, but it sounds like it may be shit. Whats your thoughts???? by the way my first project is a Music Video for a friends band, it will be better than anything ever. Im used to shooting bands, but live, and with Pro Sony cameras, not film, looking forward t it!!!!!!!!!!!! love from me.
