I attempted to send numerous private messages last night. I was able to send one to myself so I thought everything went OK with your message. :?
I also sent one to Jack, Jack did you see my message?
I've noticed that after I press the submit button that they're still in my outbox.
Puzzled, this isn't rocket science...

private messages, or not....
No, I did not get one. I have had folks send me private messages from time to time. But none from you.JCook wrote:I attempted to send numerous private messages last night. I was able to send one to myself so I thought everything went OK with your message. :?

Ashesoftime,
Please check your yahoo email account.
Jack, yes I received your message. Everything I'm attempting to send has piled up in my outbox. Question, do I need to enter a yahoo or msn email account into the profile? I thought private messaging was handled internally on this forum, ie no external mail account required. If it's not related to an external mail account I have no idea why they're still sitting in my outbox.
Regards, John

PM stuff
Andreas can probably answer the above questions better than I. But as I understand it, yes, this system is unique onto it self, and you do not need any other email addresses to PM anyone.JCook wrote:Ashesoftime,

All I have ever done is click the PM icon in a message posted by someone I want to send a PM to. Another screen comes up and I write in a message. The box where I write my text is already pre addresses. Then, I just click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen, below the box that contains my message. That is about it.
You might look in the upper righ hand corner of your screen and make sure you are still logged in to the forum. If not, you may have to manually sign in again to PM someone.
Other than that, I can't think what the issue could be.
In this message to you, click on the PM button at the bottom of this message and then type a message to me. Then, looking at the bottom of the message box, click the "Submit" button. Make sure you are logged in first.
Let's see what happens.
