S8 in a new music video!

Post by nilse »

I've just seen a new norwegian musicvideo with venke knutsson, kiss. And the main theme was her running around shooting S8 with a Canon 310 and showing it with a Eumig 610. Must be some nice people who made that video....

Yes, the super8 footage was shot with Vision 200T and all super8 material was scanned by me (Norsk Smalfilm).

Speaking of Super8 in music videos...

The Cure: 'Pictures of you' show the band playing at a weird location and being filmed by lost of Super8 cams. At one point Robert Smith takes a camera himself and shoots (Beaulieu 5008 or something?)

Image

They have a long term relationship with Super8. A lot of the 'Show' film is brown tinted Tri-x. The super8 guy is in the shot sometimes and it looks like he's holding a Nizo.

Their latest 'Trilogy' film has a title sequence from Berlin shot on Tri-X.

Here's a link to 'Pictures of you': http://launch.yahoo.com/musicvideos/lis ... p?l=C&p=30

I tried but it looks more to John Waters's Divine holding a Super8 cam. Damn

Venke Knutson - Kiss (512kbps)

Most parts of the video is shot in S16mm.

They have added dust and image pulsation to the Super8 material.
