where are you located ?
i may have a film splicer available for sale
to guest re sound striped film
this was an old post to which i received some replies
if there was a stong interest in sound striped film and those interested would commit to a definite quantity annually
at a specific dollar amount,it would be made available not through kodak nor the crooks at pro 8 in california but through a german company

What's the name of the German company that would sell these new sound carts?

mags not film
This was on the web 5 or so years ago; I copied it and posted it at the Pittsburgh Filmakers.
There are cameras that use the 200 ft magazines still around. They are from the mid 70's. The plastic thing that holds the film is rare.
If you are going to go to the trouble of striping raw S8 filmstock then do so for 16mm also and make some money. Also, have the film sold in ANY lengths, like 100 foot loads for Bolex cameras and reload old 50 foot sound carts. Not everyone has a mag load S8 camera.
