Another question/problem. I went out and purchased some 675 1.4 volt hearing aid batteries as suggested on this forum for use in the exposure meter battery compartment on Nizo 801 macro , tried loading them several ways to test and no needle appears anywhere . However if I push the master switch forward to test the camera drive batteries the needle appears as it should. Any ideas?
Firstly, the camera wants 1.35volt 625 zinc air batteries. If you use 675s they are too small and will not make a circuit, but they are as they wobble about in the hole for them, but with a little adaptation, they are quite useable and a lot cheaper than the zinc air 625 Wein cells. Either make cases for the 675s from old drilled out 625 alkaline batteries, or buy adapters, or use rubber rings around the 675s to keep them in place. A thread last posted in about a week ago has all the info, including a great link to a brilliant pdf:
