New stills from "why does nobody listen?"

Post by sunrise »

A few stills from my current project...

Shot on K-40. Andreas scanned this on his new machine and did the colouring.
Beaulieu 7008s with Isco anamorphot.

Overall they look good.

Are those scratches on the first frame??

Kind of reminds me of a scene from Lars Von Trier's Medea :-D

looks pretty good. did the scanner clip the highlights or the color "correction"?

(did you get the speaker horn idea from depeche mode or from me?) :-)

Isco anamorphot ?
What's that? Can you buy anamorphic lenses for Super 8 camera's?
Great looking footage by the way, any chance of a quicktime?

Yes, it from the last few seconds of a roll.

Andreas can tell you more about the scanning and the colouring. He had a tough job at it. We had very changing weather and some heavy clouds giving some underexposed shots although the aperature was wide open. I used a cir. polarizer for the shots.

Lets call it colour adjustment.

Depeche Mode...
At first I thought of doing several shots on the "listen" theme, speakers telephone, radio etc. But I just stuck with the simple horn speaker idea.
I like these speakers because they are actually very different from the "bong" speakers in colour and shape.

I have a very close relationship to the video for "Never Let Me Down Again". As a kid I used to play in the fields where it is shot (which is also the theme of the video). My parents knew an old bloke who lived in a small farmhouse and we visited him in the summer.

It's an aspherical lens that is normally put in front of an existing lens. I have a custom build extension tube with a c-mount, which fits my camera. Only problem is that I have to measure focus all the time, as I can't see it through the viewfinder.

Currently synching and editing. I'll post it when it's done.
