Well it's going to be a while before I get my lens. I just sent payment to Germany. I tried to get the guy to deal with Pay Pal, but he would not go for it. And he had no locations in his city for moneygram, so I had to send it though the mail. Freaks me out because I sent someone a sound striper recently in Spain and it never showed up. I guess I just don't trust air-mail now.
I can't wait to see everyone's footage who is shooting anamorphic! Please so post when it's been digitally transferred. Right now I'm looking to get a better camera for the digital transfer. Think I should put the Ananmorphic lens in front of the camera for the transfer? Or should I unsqueeze it digitally? I always get the feeling digital is not always better in matters like this.

Hi Kanton - i´m from germany and i buy/sell from time to time all kinds of stuff around the world. When sending cash, make sure you send it via a registered letter. It doesnt cost all that much more and is well worth it. On the other hand, i never had a case where something disappeared when it was without any tracking.
Btw. Does anyone know whether there is a lens that would fit on a Canon 814 XL-S (7 mm. to 56 mm. f/1.4 62 mm).

The name is Konton! I wouldn't be so annoyed, but I run http://www.konton.com and I keep getting these damn e-mails meant for http://www.kontron.com. I wish I could use the e-mail to my advantage . . .Guest1 wrote:Hi Kanton - i´m from germany and i buy/sell from time to time all kinds of stuff around the world. Couldn't sent it registered mail for some reason. So I sent the letter Global Priority Mail. We'll see if that's better.
Not sure about the Canon 814. The Canon 514 can use the Kowa 8Z with the 52mm threads. The Nizo 6080 needs something like the Zeiss I'm getting because it has 67mm threads. I assume the Zeiss would work with a 814 if it has 62mm threads. Better for the anamorphic to be larger than the lens on the camera. I think my Nizo 136XL in this picture has like 36mm threads or something and I use the Kowa 8Z with it. That works pretty well.

Will post a realmedia file of an anamorphic shot of the city soon. Just wish I had a better camera . . .

I cannot say anything about that (Kowa has many kind of 2 x lenses like 16-D, 16-H (8z) etc.), but the most important info you'll need is:Guest1 wrote:Hi again,

At the first check your own camera, which kind of front lens diameter it has and then ask AM-lens seller about AM-lens rear diameter.
If AM-lens rear diameter is as big or bigger than your camera front diameter, just start bidding!

Well my Anamorphot III 2x MC Zeiss Ikon Lens arrived a few days ago. First I looked at the back threads. They are 68mm. Since the Nizo 6080 has a thread of 67mm, this is too bad. This means I need to find some way of mounting it on the front of the camera. It will seit nicely on the front, but will not screw in.
The next things I checked out was how bad the vinetting was. Now the Nizo 6080 has a Schneider-Kreuznach Macro-Variogon 1.4/7-80mm lens. I found that starting at around 20mm no vinetting could be seen though the viefinder, giving me the zoom now of 1.4/20-80mm. Since 15mm is the standard of actual size, I'd say this is not bad.
I think I like this better than my Nizo 136 XL with the Kowa 8-Z. Anyway once I'm able to make a mount I'll be selling this anamorphic setup. Is anyone interested in buying the whole setup? You can see it here:
http://www.super8mm.org/arsenal.html
So anyway, now I need to make a mount for the Zeiss. Any suggestions?

ANAMORPHIC ATTACHMENT FOR BAUER T600
I just bought a Bauer T600 projector with a 12-30 mm 1.3 Schneider_Krenznach lens. I also gat from Derann's "The magnificent 7" which is in anamorphic format. Does anyone from all those Kowa and B&H lenses that are found on ebay, which can fit in my projector?

I received my Möller anamorphot 63 from Esko (he uses moviesko-nick here) today and that lens is huge!
I put it to the front of my Bauer S 715 XL camera and I got same kind of result, than you: without vignetting from 18 mm to 90 mm! This is just enough to me.
The range with Bauer S 709 XL is 18 mm - 51 mm and with Leicina Super Rt 10 mm - 64 mm.
I have bought a (like new) Canon 1014 XL-S from one old Finnish super 8 shooter.
I'll get it during next week, I'll also check to range of it and let you know.
I have planned to make a welded support legs to that lens using steel pipes etc.
I'll send some images of my construction, when I have finnished it.
Best Regards
