Frame accurate telecine with a USB microscope.

Post by Chris-B »

Has anyone tried filming straight off the gate of the projector with a cheap QX3 Plus Microscope.

I thought it might be a way to get a frame accurate telecine as it has move and time-lapse functions - By taking off the projector lens, filming off the gate and adding a read switch to the shutter blade.

Any ideas how this would look with a microscope?

I was going to use one of my Chinon projectors the 2000GL or 3000GL, anyone know how the get them to project safely at 1fps?

Let me know what you think,
Chris.

Seems to me to be a terrible idea since the resolution of the QX3 is only 320X240.

I read that it would dispay images - "800x600 display, 16-bit color" is this just in still mode?

Is there a miroscope out there that will capure full DV (PAL) res in movie mode?

If so would it be worth checking it out to telecine with?

Chris.
