Will precision pressure plates fit in new Kodak S8 carts?

Post by Godzilla »

Forgive me if this has been brought up already. It's been mentioned that Kodak designed new cartridges that are supposed to hit the streets with the Vision2 500T film. I was thinking about getting a precision pressure plate, but I don't want to buy one if they changed the in-cartridge pressure plate. The custom metal one wouldn't fit anymore.

Perhaps no one knows yet. But the new carts could hit any day and someone could check.

Since I'm asking... Are the new carts just for the 500T or am I correct to assume that they will be phased in for the other stocks as well?

if Kodak made a real proper re-design of the carts the plate should not be needed anymore whatever the film stock.

My dos donuts.
