New Cart Design?

I read on a thread previously (I think it was one referring to the new Vision2 stock) that an individual had spoken to Kodak and Kodak had said that the stock would be delayed because of cartridge issues. I assume the idea is that Kodak would make a more stable cart so that DPs who choose to shoot with the stock won't have to deal with focus breathing and jitter. Perhaps Kodak is formulating a better cartridge? Any truth to this notion of mine? If so, any chance of the new design being extended to all stocks?

I don't recall hearing any specifics about this, but it may have to do with the Vision film being a different thickness than the Kodachrome & Ektachrome films the cartridges were originally designed for.
