No you can't, but do you really need it ?
Yeah, most of the Beaulieu users would say that the most interesting feature with Beaulieu cameras is that they got interchangeable lens. But who did really used it ? Who did bought one of those expensive c-mount lens like Switar, Xenon or Angenieux ? A really small minority. Remember it's super8. Why would you buy a camera a few bucks, then afford a whole serie of prime lens + zoom for 2500$ ? C-mount wide lens are the most expensive. For exemple, I just saw the 5,9 angenieux 350$. Your Nizo is 8-40 : it far enough for most of your needs.
Take care,
matt

The c-mount feature at Beaulieu cameras is mostly for choosing your favourite lens when buying the camera. Afterwards, this lens normally keeps on the body.

Hi Mattan,
My first movie camera was a Nizo INtegral 5 when I was 12, which I still have and works perfectly. In my opinion it's a very nice camera, made of plastic but sharing nontheless some important features with the bigger sisters. Apart from the Variogon - Schneider lenses, the Integral Series feature most of the transport system of the 6080 (shutter, motor, claw, drive belt, exposure cell architecture). So it's very effective, and just a little bit noisier. As for wide angle it can use the Schneider/Nizo-Bauer UWL (Ultra Wide Lens). The zoom ring has got a dedicated position marked UWL (in the "macro" field) that enables the camera to use it. Actually the Integral 5 needs the UWL I (first type, 58 mm filter thread), but if you come across a bigger version (type II or III, the one for models 4080 and 6080) you would be all set anyway with a stepping ring: I have just adapted my UWL III on my Integral 5 in this way and is pefectly efficient.

Enjoy this little, lovely camera, excellent as a second (back up) camera or even as main machine.

Happy filming

UWL types

Post by Maurizio Di Cintio »

Thanks to Mike's post, I realized I screwed up a little about UWL attachments. Yes, the Nizo Integral 5 has a filter thred diameter of 58 mm, so it requires the Nizo/Schneider UWL Type II (NOT Type I).
The UWL Type III is for the bigger Nizo's and features a double thread system: 62 and 67 mm so it can be applied to lenses having both diameters. If one needs to adapt it to the Nizo Integral 5 the stepping up ring must be a 62>58 adapter ring (NOT 67>58).
Sorry again for the little misinformation and hope this is helpful.
