high res workprinter capture
Has anyone tried to capture with a high res still camera or with the still mode on a video camera. I would like to capture my footage at a higher res so I could apply effects on it. 1600x1200 frames would be great. Any ideas?

I have been in the process of trying this method. I understand from Roger that there are some technical issues surrounding this. A large one being that the chip size on a digital still cam is bigger and therefore you need a larger power zoom.
I am going to borrow a friends Canon EOS D1 with a 10X zoom. There is a firewire out on some of the high end Digital Still cams that may be the best way for capture. Im not sure of the transfer speed however from the camera to the firewire. Also there seems to be the matter of pixel configuration etc. with the NLE used.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or the results of your tests.
