The Kowa may not be a bad alternative. The mechanism on the iscorama that allows it to be rotated easily is a big advantage.
How do you mount the Kowa PA35 that you have? And what is the diameter of the rear thread on it?

The Kowa PA35 has no thread on the barrel, which is 62.5mm. To mount this lens I have an arrangement of rods, with a collar type which holds the lens in front of the camera. There are some pictures in the pictures section on this site.

Kowa PA-35 lens

Post by Premiere Visions »

This Kowa PA-35 lens would be perfect for a project Im working on. Any tips on where I could hope to still find one (besides ebay)?

Some questions about the lens:
Does it have internal focus or does the front of the lens rotate as you pull focus?

I heard the front of the lens doesnt have threads for a filters,etc...Is that right? If not what size?

The Kowa PA35, does not have any thread on front or rear, I use the Cokin universal adapter to hold filters in front, and also acts as a lens protector, the front is about 80mm in total, the front of the lens can be turned to focus from 5ft to infinity.

Umm, there's clearly some vignetting visible...
