Canon Optura 300 for telecine

There is an interesting thread about this camera on DVinfo forum and its possible use as a camera for producing "super high resolution" video. I see a possible use of this camera for telecine work. I am wondering if experienced folks in transfer work might comment on this. What is being suggested is that this camera can capture high resolution video to a PC on the fly without tape by using the still picture mode but with the SD card removed. For transfer work this seems ideal as all your equipment can be clustered around the PC itself. I have no experience in transfers but can the projector be synch'd to the camera using this technique??
