Fisheye for Beaulieu 4008zmII?
Can someone recommend a fisheye lens for my beaulieu 4008zmII? Any c mount lens or another lens with adapter? Thanks.
According to David Cheshire's 'The Book of Movie Photography', a company called Karl Heitz manufactured a fisheye lens for the super 8 format. The focal length of this lens is 1.9mm and it has an angle of view of 197 degrees. Unfortunately, I have no idea what type of lens mount it uses. Regard this lens as super rare as I have never come across one, even on Ebay.

Still need a lens
Thanks for the info Patrick. I watched the skateboard movie "yeah right"and noticed in the slide show segments on the extras a guy had a fisheye on his bolex h16. The shot was from straight on so I couldn't see if he had an adapter to his c mount or if it was a c mount already. I know there has to be something available wheter it's a cmount or an adapter that goes in front of a wide anle lens.
I always wondered if these nikon digital camera adapters could be adapted for super-8>

Looks good
That looks promising! It also looks like the lens in the pic I saw. I wonder what size screw mount it has and if there is any adapter available to c mount. I will look into this more.

What about this
What is the screw mount size of a c-mount? Also what about getting an old 35mm fisheye like a minolta 7.5mm or 16mm and then getting an adapter for it? How would that look? Has anybody on here done that?
I have a Nikon 880 digital camera that can use these adapters. I almost had one once from eBay a few months ago but the guy sent the wrong lens.. It was a fight to get refunded for it but I won in the end  I will try again as soon as I can afford it. It's an adapter so you would need to find the right combination of thread adapters to make it work with any given lens.

Hey Paul, I see no reason why those Nikon adapters wouldn't work, but to be sure just try it out with your camera first if you can before buying.

I have this fisheye lens...it has a 28mm filter thread. Sooo, its use would be very very limited. It would not fit on any super 8 camera I know of since it is so small. I was thinking it may fit my regular 8mm nikkorex!!
However, my mini-dv JVC GRDVM80 has a 27mm thread so with a 27to28 converter it would work great. Also, I recenlty got a Sony 2X teleconverter in the 37mm size so I also bought a 27-37 for that camera and a 28-37 for my coolpix 950. Try B&H Photo for adapters.
Good luck.

I was thinking of the prime lenses on my DS8 bolex or a c mount lens on the Beaulieu.

Thanks
What is the filter size of the Cosmicar 6mm? Just curious to see what different kinds of adapters are available. Thanks for all the input also.
