My 1st Rough Cut (Animation)

Post by Arnie »

Hi everybody!
My name's Arnie and I'm shooting a stop-motion animated movie on Super 8. I just did a rough cut of a roll I shot about a couple of weeks ago. The movie is called Underground Slavedrivers. I've made a web site about it that you can see at http://www.worldofun.8m.com . There's about 6 more rolls to shoot of the animation. I've shot this first one on Kodachrome 40 with a (US) $4 Sears camera I picked up at Savers. I got it developed through Wal-Mart, and Roger or his wife transferred it at MovieStuff. When I compressed it for the internet, it got a little dark, but it looks okay as a web movie. Man, shooting on film is so exciting! I just about shot this in video, but then decided to shoot a test roll in Super 8, and it came out great! The direct link to the movie is: http://www.worldofun.8m.com/theatre1.html
I hope you enjoy it!

WOW, I love it!
Definately keep up posted on your productions. I think we'll all be seeing a LOT more of your work in the future. The web site is the best and most fun I've visited in a looooong time. Just waht the web needs.

Wow! Thanks guys! Sorry I haven't written back yet-- I've been so busy with this movie! I do have more animation I could show you-- It's called Ron's Placemachine-- but unfortunately for the last week I've been having problems uploading it to my web site. It was shot in DV, and lasts 6 minutes. I'll let you know as soon as I got it on my web site, which hopefully will be real soon!
Thanks again for watching!
Arnie.
