Post by ilfo »

Hallo,
I have a Braun Makro MZ 864.
Could you tell me what's the shutter speed for 1/B shooting frame by frame?( I didn't found a manual on net, or I didn' now how to do it). As well as for 18f/s & 24 f/s.

yours thankfully,

I suppose: that Braun-Nürnberg MZ was actually made by the japanese manufacturer Cosina.
Therefore you can also look for Cosina manuals.
I guesss the shutter speed for 1+18fps is about 1/40s. Is n't there also a (about) 40 fps button?
Can you describe how single frame shooting works at this camera?

Greetings to Italy!

yes, there is a button for 40f/s...
for single frame is a hole like for realising wire, and when you press it shoots once with a certain time of exposure, than the film advances with a frame( like for shooting animations); and I can't realise if this time coresponds to 1/18 or 1/24...
thx for the advices,

Hallo Nicu!

Regarding the MZ, nice name by the way isnt it, i found that there is a connection to the Cosina/Carena HDL series.
I guess that we talk about the HDL 738M...

For this mechanical triggerd single
frame feature I am not that sure about the exposure time. German made cameras "single frame" usually with the 18 fps exposure - but this Japanese?
Perhaps it could be a time exposure: the shutter stays open as long if you press the trigger? That could be checked with cartridge door open couldnt it?
