T-Shirt Designs for www.super8mm.org

Post by Konton »

I'm trying to come up with some t-shirt designs to help fund the Super 8 Militia. Please let me know if you'd by a shirt like this for $20. I'm going to try and make 4 designs and have them for sale off the website.

Great ! But I would have personnaly prefered back in front and front in back. Also a more modern/young shape.

Does DC Comics know you're ripping off the Superman logo?

Thanks for the reponse everyone. I'm trying to come up with some new designs, but it's slow. I'll let you know when I have some test shirts and they are ready to go. I had some other lame ideas. Sooner or later I'll have the site up and ready here:

love the superman thing. i'd like to see just that with no text on the front and nothing on the back (i hate that in general). and i have way too many black custom tees already. how about bright red or bottle green? with a two color print? white with a black outline?

The "8" Symbol was actually from another gallery showing at the ATA from a few years ago. For the show they made posters, armbands, shirts, and stickers. There are still a few stickers around the ATA on walls and stuff, so I took one off and scanned it for the group. Hey, we were running out of logo ideas that day! I think it also works well as a Super 8 Logo.

I'd like to make sure when someone's sees the "8" they know it stands for Super 8 and the shirts are for the Super 8 Militia. But I can work on making the Militia info smaller.

What do you guys mean by modern/young shape? Can I have an example?

The guy who makes the supermag is using the exact same symbol to market it.

I don't think so. These two symbols are not "exactly" the same.

Wouldn't that depend the size of the shirt you bought? what does that have to do with "modern/young shape"? I thought Matt was talking about chaning the symbol. I'm so confused!!!

Maybe not "exact" but it's the same core design concept that utilises a specific cultural reference to promote a certain "film medium".

I thought Matt was talking about the actual shape of the shirt.

I can't seem to find the correct term, I keep getting 'girls shape' or 'girls fitted shirt'

I meant something that does not look like wearing a teatowel...

As to the design, I think it should be clear what format you're promoting, and not just the number. Will get your message across much better than the Sup' reference, I think.

Does that mean you are leaving the world of filmmaking for starting a Euro Dance DJ carreer ? Just kidding. I agree with you.
