Like an idiot,for the foirst time ever I have lost/mislaid a mailer packet.Has anyone else out there done this and if so how did you go about getting your film to anf from Kodak?
The best idea I have come up with is a secure padded envelope with covering details inside.

Do not know, but I believe that the "processing included" text is printed on the cartridge. You may try to bring it to a Kodak dealer (or pefferably Kodak S8 dealer?) and ask if they can help you out?
Oh, no problem at all! I've lost a few and have solved the problems in two ways:
1. I have used a "used" mailer. I just fixed it up a little and sent it to Kodak. No problems at all!
2. I talked to Kodak about this and they told me it was nothing to worry about. Just give them a call and they'll figure something out. Most likely you can just put the film in a regular envelope and send it away.

I'm not sure as to how the K40 service and carts with mailers differ from Europe to here in Canada. Recently I took a K40 cart with no mailer to be processed. It was left by the original owner of one of the super 8 cameras I bought. It could have been 20 years old. I take my carts to a drug store called "Shoppers Drug Mart". Once a day, a photo courier from Qualex(1-800-315-9901) picks up bags of several items(35mm still, plaque mounting etc.) Qualex then sends my film to be processed in Switzerland by Kodak. 23 days later my film arrives back at "Shoppers"(in-store photo lab). The person at Qualex tells me that; if I mail my film myself using the prepaid mailers it could take 6 weeks. Qualex also tells me that prepaid K40 is indicated in code I believe, along the edge of the film itself, so through "Shoppers" only, the cart only requires to be put in a photo lab envelope with customer's name and receipt tab taken. If one has K40 without processing, the cost will be $12.CDN($7.50 USD) upon pick-up.
