The only tip I know is that you should try and use a standard 18% card if possible. That or focus on getting the right reading off your subjects. Sacrifice snow detail for subject detail. Treat it like you're shooting black on white titles. Grey card if possible.vidwerk wrote:I picked up a cart of the new plus-X 7265 a few days ago(direct from Kodak Canada). Snow isn't like "regular" white. Rather it's an infinately deflected mirror for the light so it really throws things off (which is why it's white, water isn't white, snow flakes made of water aren't white -- it's white to the eye as a result of the mixing of all the colors and reflecting it back at you and mixing it in a very complex manner and more bright than a white sheet of paper).
How it would be different than old Plus-X other than speed in shooting strategy, I can't see why.
