I have a few Tamron and Fuji lenses from an old video camera that I believe are c-mount lenses. I'd like to try out these lenses on my Beaulieu 4008 ZMII that I'll be receiving in a couple of days, however I'm a little weary about trying them out on the camera. The base of these lenses extend about 6mm below the c-mount threads, and since these lenses weren't originally made to work with a Beaulieu camera, I'm worried that the 6mm or so of the lens base that extends beyond the threads could potentially hit and damage the shutter/mirror.
For those of you who have used c-mount lenses on your Beaulieu camera other than the original Schneider or Angenieux, should I avoid using certain c-mount lenses with the camera, or should all c-mount lenses work safely with a Beaulieu 4008 ZMII?

NO, you will not be able to use this lenses on a Beaulieu camera.
There can´t extend anything below the tread more than maximum 1mm, if more, this will hit the mask inside the front plate.
If you have a 4008ZMII with a square hole in the black mask in front plate, you shall not even try to fit a 1,4/6-70 Schneider lens on this camera body, only if you have a modifyed mask, with a round hole as on 4008ZM4 cameras!!
