How do I record the sound with Super 8mm cameras?

Post by ja »

Forgive me for my ignorance as I am not too familiar with Super 8mm or Pro8mm format, but I was wondering how one records the sound with these tiny, little things?

Specifically, let's say with Nizo 4080 model? How wil l I record the sound with this camer? Is it the same like using a camcorder? Do I attach an external mic or do i use sound recorder/mixer???

Are they any online articles dealing with these questions etc?

I'm so sorry, but any help is much needed and appreciated?

Unless if the camera is a sound camera and you have sound film (which is no longer manufactured) you have to record on to a seperate medium and then synch it up. There's info on the net about this - one location is http://www.mango-a-gogo.com/inmyimage/i ... htm#martin

Hope this helps

- also did you see the post on this forum about audio resolving software - something that could apply to you
