Thanks for the feedback. The movie consists of misc Super 8 timelapse footage cropped and composited through Adobe After Effects. The composite consisted of about 20 different layers including the stars which were totally digital. I wish I could film stars that good on Super 8. I need to get a Nizo for those timed exposures. Anyways, I was wondering what file version is prefferred for longer movies such as a 15 minute short I am wrapping up? Some people are saying .Mov is a hastle. What's optimal for most computers?

Wow! Those stars and the dark cloud that came over them was awesome! Was that done while editing or did those great clouds suddenly appear?

Like I mentioned above a lot of the effects were achieved through compositing several layers together. The stars were generated through the software while the night rolling clouds were shot during the day and then keyed in. If there was a higher resolution version you could even see a little rainfall added under the clouded night sky. Camera was a Nizo 6080 with built in intervelometer. Andreas, I was wondering what your drive space could occomodate as far as file size is concerned. I might throw a copy of another film I am wrapping up and its about 15min in length. File size could be up to 50Mb, can you fit it? I have to mess with compression settings through a program called Media Cleaner Pro to see what works best. I'm still curious what movie format is preferred. Thanks for your thoughts.

Don't worry about filesizes... There're 25GBs of free harddisk space availeble! However, I doubt many people will download a 2GB file..supa_ate_sixteen wrote:Andreas, I was wondering what your drive space could occomodate as far as file size is concerned.
