Hi everyone....
Just wonder if anyone of you uses your WP with an external harddisc. (Sorry Roger for asking again...)
My eye catched this one:
Seagate 160GB, Ultra ATA/100, 1MB Cache, 8,9 m/sec, 7200 rpm) can be connected via firewire or USB
If I use such an external harddisc would it really be necessary to get the Raid-0 configuration with two seperate 80GB drives? Wouldn´t it be easier to use just this one for capturing and then taking it to another comp an perform the editing?
Really curioius about your opinions...

Hi,
I even had problems with internal IDE/ATA drives capturing with Workprinter Pro with 6 fps. 1 and 3 fps was OK. I installed RAID-0 with SATA drives and get 100% results with 6fps, too. Problem was few frames with vertical "smear" , in 50 feet roll there were 5-10 defective frames. While previewing the captured file, it was hard to even notice these frames, but while editing the file it was easy to notice them. Then I started to check every file I had captured and notice that most of them had smeared frames. Now, with RAID-0 I get consistently 100% clean results. I'm using Dodcap for capturing. In the first place I did not even believe Roger's recommendation for RAID-0, but now I'm convinced
Merry Xmas !
