Hi,
Just received this and need to make or buy power supply. I understand this is the first model S8 camera and has a different battery type. I don't have a battery here and I think this is even more rare.
Also, the viewer seems to be closed and I haven't figured out how to "flip" the eyepiece.
I've dealt with Nizo's and Canon's; this is a first.
Thanks for any advice.

Well, soon I'm going to try and simply check the motor.
I'm going to run 6v with batteries and make sure not to have the auto engaged or risk seriously ruining the light meter. (I will veryify safe zone for the Milliamps)
I aslo contacted my friend to help me build a rechargeable power supply.
Much thanks to all who posted their remedies for this type camera.
Regarding the original type battery cell, I need to call Burbank and hear the Super 8 riot act for Beaulieu cameras; if you know what i mean.

Ok, the motor worked at 2, 4 and even 8 fps as a motor check. I'm releived!
Now I'll go ahead and figure if I want to recell an old battery or build the power pack.
One thing, how does one open the view finder? It's seems to me like other cameras where you can close the viewfinder when filming to stop stray light from entering. I've been coming across "flip" the viewer statements in my reading, yet how is this done.
Almost there in Beaulieu land,
Cheers
