Dear friends,
I'm currently running a Super8 filmstock poll to determine which stock is the most populare one. Please take a few seconds and vote for your favourite stock! This information will be used to persuade the companies selling and making these stocks to be more "out" among us filmmakers.

I agree, but the poll program simply isn't designed to handle that.. as far as I know..

Well 200T seems to be the most popular film stock for 16/35mm since it is a good general purpose stock that can be used in most situations while giving good performance (low grain, etc..) My guess is that Kodak released it to see what kind of interest there is in super8 negative stock, and since it seems to not be as popular as K40 they probably don't have to much in the way of plans of releasing other stocks. How many people are interested in 50D? anyone up for starting a petition to get kodak to make Vision 50D Super8 and double super negative print stock (they currently have double super8 ektachrome print stock, yale offers contact printing with it)supa_ate_sixteen wrote:I have to agree that if 50D neg wasn't dominated by Pro 8mm, it might be competative slightly with K40. Why Kodak won't do this and is offering 200T is beyond me completely....?
Whenever I get my optical printing setup going (which most likely wont be for a while) I might consider trying to get super8sound to cut up some 35mm negative print stock to super8, that is if I could find enough other people interested so that I wouldn't have to pay to much money. If nothing else you could use it to shoot some extremely fine grained high contrast negative images :-) (when using it as film instead of a print stock)
