8mm to dv

Hi all........at the risk of sounding green(which I am) I want to take a 1070's 8mm wedding film, transfer it to my computer via min dv or however I can using a firewire. The problem I have is I dont have a projector and if I did then what?

This is the best, easiest, fastest way to do it. I just had some super 8 film transferred by this dude, and the results were incredible.
