I'm the proud owner of a Nizo 801macro.
Its exposimeter works with two 1.35volts px625 mercury cells.
Unfortunately these batteries are no longer available.
I've recently changed mine with two 1.5 volts px625 alkaline cells, and I've got the feeling that with these 'overpowered' batteries the iris aperture is not proper.
I know that C.R.I.S. Camera Services sells M-9 adapters to reduce the voltage of 1.5v batteries, but I've read somewhere that the cheaper Zinc Air 675 batteries could be used as well.
Has someone already tried this solution?
Thanks,
Giovanni
px625 mercury cells: a cheap solution?

more precise information:
I know that Wein produces 1.35v Zinc Air cells, which are identical, in shape and dimensions, to the no more available mercury cells; anyway I refer to the cheaper and more easily available 1.4 volt Zinc Air cells, that are used for hearing aids, which have a different shape: I'd like to know if these latter batteries could be used in my Nizo 801...

Don't risk damaging the camera or spoiling the light meter calibration.

These guys are great. I deal with them from Europe and they turn around in about 4 days.
