This "S8mm editor" is NOT for optical sound. It can handle two S8mm fullcoats + one S8mm film with magnetic edge stripe. You could edit (but the screen on the editor is really too small) and transfer to and from stripe/fullcoat.
This one seems to be very worn, and on some of these machines there were problems with the motors (burned), at least on some here in Europe.
I do have a nice brochure somewhere among my hidden treasures.
