Canon 814 Autozoom Electronic

Post by Jordan »

Was just browsing through some stats about S8 cameras, inlcuding my own Canon 814 Autozoom Electronic at http://www.kolumbus.fi/puistot/c.htm , and I noticed "Shutter degree: Var."...I'm very confused, does that mean the shutter degree is 'variable' in that it can be manually changed? If so how is that achieved?

Thanks,

Jordan Manley

just turn the big dial on the left side. 2 means half closed, 4 three quarters closed, , close closed and stop that the camera stops, which is good for fade outs. the switch next to it that says 2 and 4 is for compensating the auto exposure accordingly, and it can also be used as a way of forcing a one or two stop overexposure if used without closing the shutter.
