projector advice - 8mm transfer

Post by porridgepot »

Hi guys,
I have a Eumig 501 which I was planning to use for some transfers of 8mm to DV; however I have the chance to buy a Eumig 807D. Does anyone have any experiences of this projector eg would it be likely to offer better transfer results ?

many thanks

I use a 607D at 18 fps with acceptable results. I think the 800 series were the sound version so I expect the mechanicals are the same.

Also I I found the standard f1.6 lense to be just as effective as the f1.0 lense I have. The latter is better on the screen though.

ok, thanks, I so also have access to a 607D but it needs a new bulb - could you point me towards any suppliers of the correct bulb type, please ?

ps I passed on the 614 as the auction price went too high (about 3 times what I paid for the 501)

thanks

EFP - A1/231 - 12V 100W Philips Type 6834 FO ( sold as a fibre optic lamp!) they are very common and there should be no problem finding one.

sorry wahiba, just checked again its a 605D not 607 (my mistake)...

the manual states it requires a 12v 100w halogen lamp with dichroic mirror (No 931.005/8)
