I got my ZC1000! Yahoooo!

Post by MovieStuff »

I am a very happy hippie. I recently won a mint Fujica ZC1000 off ebay for less than $400. Man I can not tell you how long I've wanted one of these puppies. They are just the most anyone could ask for. C-mount lens, a flip in-and-out ground glass for both ariel image and ground glass focusing, variable shutter, mirrored shutter, digital frame counter, unlimited backwind, electronic shutter release, 1-72 frames per second.....man oh man. Super duper gigantic viewfinder. I love it and I haven't shot a frame yet.

My plan is to convert it to a 400 foot mag load (reel to reel type) like one I modified about 20 years ago (when I was young and stupid.....as opposed to now when I'm old and stupid). Anyway, I'll keep you all posted and maybe post some pics of my treasure before and after surgery. I'm going to do some things different than the mod I did two decades ago. If this works out (and I'm sure it will) I've got a couple of Z800s that I also picked up that I'm going to modify and sell. No removable lenses but great cameras anyway.

I am SO psyched....

Single 8mm cameras

Post by David M. Leugers »

Wow, what a camera! I think we all would love to see photos of your jewel both before, during and after modification. This kind of modified-for-roll film camera could be the wave for our S-8mm future. Good luck and keep us posted :) .

Roger that would be fantastic - the small running times of the carts is a major drawback -- good luck - love to see the updates on it
