I'm looking for a Super8 sound projector where you can manually adjust balance between the two magnetic tracks. Sometimes there's music on the smaller track that I don't want and I'd like to be able to fully adjust that track down to 0.
What projectors were made that has this capability?
Thanks
Andreas

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
I believe just about any 2 track projectors does have this option. Projectors I have or used is: Bauer T610, Elmo top model, cant remember the model name, Eumig 600 D? They all have this option. On some projectors is it also possible to select tracks: Both, 1, or 2 by use of a switch.

Bauer T610: Slider #2 from the right is the balance.

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
Just got this projector in. A little trouble loading film padt the soundhead. Any ideas of to do? I have to manually push the film a little to go all the way through.

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
As for the threading problem: maybe you’ll have to press a special button during threading? (Normally on top of the projector, close to the supply reel.)
I also noticed that some projectors became a little bit „stubborn“ in their old days. E.g. when using my Bauer T610, I cannot use hama-leaders. (They are a little bit thinner and less stiff than the Kodak-/Agfa-/Fuji-/Orwo-leaders). And I have to use „nail scissors“ to give the start of the leader rounder edges. So I cannot use the special device to cut the leader anymore. (That device is part of the projector. And it was working fine when I bought the projector approximately 30 years ago - I don’t know whether this „cutter“ is now having problems or whether it’s something with the projector‘s filmpath.)

This space was left intenionally blank.

You should also check the filmpath - there might some dirt that turned to stone (after reacting with some grease). Or some rubber wheels that became brittle. Or some gears/wheels that would need some fresh oil/grease. You might even find a few frames from a film of the previous owner.

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
Got it working a while back. Probably just some dirt that stopped the leader. It's been running for a while, but a few days ago the soundhead broke. Oh what a pity... I wonder if I should try to fix it myself or send it off to Van Eck perhaps.
Anyone know the Eumig projectors? I'm mainly using it to play back and transfer sound from soundfilm to a computer.
