Post by focusgroup »

I have decided not to post or visit the 8mm filmshooting forum an longer. Not that this is so important.

My love of filmshooting brought me here. Super 8 was my first film shooting experience and I still truly love it. The forum however has become infected with a negative atmosphere. I've determined that I also have become part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Of all the other neighborhoods I visit, I make it a point to never post an unkind word or disrespectful comment. Somehow I have broken this important personal rule.

As a result of my actions I feel somewhat like an unwelcome guest.

If I may respectfully suggest the following for the future of the forum:

1. The senior members (and everyone else) should try and refrain from negative commentary. Perhaps these senior contributors should monitor the forum and delete threads that are inappropriate to the mandate of this site.

2. Individuals who are disruptive or deceptive should be warned, censured and removed if required.

3. The rules of the forum should be clearly stated and strictly adhered to.

4. Posters should be encouraged to contribute thoughts and links without fear of retribution or recrimination from the more experienced filmshooters.

For those who may have interest in future contact with me my email is the following: focusgp@mail-block.com

Good luck to all in your future filmshooting.

George

I think you underestimate your audience George.
There is no reason to leave.
Anyone disapproved your info?

The problem is that there is not nessescary ONE truth in filmmaking issues either.
Some find that hard to accept.
Stay put and continue your postings.

Cheers :!:
