MovieStuff Cinemate 20 for sale

Post by Forever on DVD »

Hi everyone.

In case anyone is interrested I have a Cinemate 20 from MovieStuff for sale. The unit has only been used a half-dozen or so times, but I no longer need it as I also have a WorkPrinter and Cinemate with sound. I have slightly modified the Cinemate by wiring an external box with sync and light. Nothing fancy, just added variable lighting and moved the variable speed dial to the external box. This way you can control the projector easily with fingertip control while sitting at your computer.

I thought I would give everyone on this forum a chance first before listing it on eBay. Roger sells this unit for $995 USD. As I have had it for about 6 months, I have decided to ask for $795 USD. An easy $200 savings.

Please feel free to call me direct if you have any questions or would like more information about the unit. You also can check out the MovieStuff website at:

Kindest regards,

Shawn

your prices seem pretty reasonable on your site. are they in Canadian dollars and do they include taxes?

Hi Santo,

Yes, our prices are in Canadian dollars, but they do not include taxes. There is PST of 8% if you are an Ontario resident, and/or GST of 7% if you are a Canadian resident. If you are neither of the above then you are tax free! :D

We have tried to price ourself fairly for our local market. Since we don't have a huge film industry here in Ottawa (that's an understatement) we can't charge as much as others in larger markets, even though our equipment is top notch (thanks Roger and Panasonic Broadcast Division).

Kindest regards,

Shawn

This should be a clean unit. Anyone that buys it can send to me for a free overhaul if they pay for the shipping. That way you get a spanky clean CineMate at a good price!

Please contact us anytime Ian. We've done transfers for clients in BC from Vancouver and Kelowna - it'd be nice to add Whistler to the list. :D

Kindest regards,

Shawn

Great!

Well, turnaround time really depends - how's that for being cryptic. :?

At the moment we have about 20 000 feet in total to digitize and generally transfer to DVD and/or miniDV - not to mention all the straight video to DVD jobs. If you have a small job, I'll generally just do it after hours so that I can "attempt" to keep everyone happy and receiving their transfers ASAP. If your job is large than I would normally put you in the queue and proceed in order. If your transfer is urgent, we would contact our other clients and ask if they would mind a short delay while we rushed yours.

So...at this particular moment in time the turnaround would probably be about 3 weeks unless I rushed it through or did it after hours. I know some companies will rush an order for a premium, but I don't believe in that practice. I'd rather work late and work all weekend because I prefer to think that "what goes around, comes around".

Please feel free to call or write anytime if you have any questions or concerns.

Kindest regards,

Shawn

Yeah, Roger is a cool dude. I bought a WP on eBay and he offered to overhaul it. He also does killer transfers.

I've gotta say, the tech support Roger provides is indeed amazing. Fastest response times I think I've ever experienced!
