What was that tv series called......?

A while ago (not too long ago) There was a descussion about a new tv series in the US that had a lot of super8 footage in it. I think super8sound was involved somehow and someone from super8sound had some posts here about it. Does anyone remember what it was called?

I believe it was called "American Family" and it was aired on PBS...
