16mm

Post by Pj »

I thought I'd share here. In my workshops I always talk about film in the present tense, current workflows and practices. I have just finished teaching a 16mm program; it was very successful, more young people than ever before are enrolling for the 16mm workshops. In the photo the students are using a Éclair ACL 2 Super 16 with a Canon DSLR battery attached to the magazine.

That's awesome! I too have noticed more people interested in learning Super8 and 16mm (I work at the NW Film Center in Portland, Oregon, and we have had to keep adding workshops to keep up with demand). I would love to know more about your battery setup, I've had bad luck with modern batteries on my ACL (I currently use an RC car battery)

This is the battery I use, it's 12 volts, very light and it works well on the ACL.
