Are there any issues with shipping film internationally? Specifically with x-rays...I'm thinking that DHL or FedEx would be safe that way...

And is it a clear acetate base or a grey base? It's bw negative film which is usually on a grey base but they may not have grey. Clear would make it better for reversal use.

Most companies who make film ship it around the world every day and there doesn't seem to be a problem to speak of... We will be shipping from two warehouses, one in the US and one in the EU. We do not anticipate problems shipping film to customers.

They X-ray just as much as anybody else in my experience. We've been shipping with DHL and FedEx many times - and also the regular postal service. Never had any problems. However, if you send your films through X-ray at the airports multiple times, then expect some fogging and X-ray problems which I've seen a few times over the years.

Is there any news about the development of Ferrania's color reversal film?
As I know that the black and white film and color reversal film couldn't be manufactured on the same production line.
The production line of P30 can't produce the 100 asa color reversal as the original project.
Maybe P30 in 35mm cartridge is a good film for still photography, but it is not the same topic as Ferrania released on Kickstarter.
And this is a forum for filming on small gauge motion picture films, I would like to hear more news about Ferrania's motion picture film.

I've just seen that post about Ferrania making a regular 8mm version of their films - put me down for some P30 when that happens, that would be amazing!

well I signed up for a colour reversal, not a b/w film, we have orwo in 8mm, so this p30 is just a smokescreen for failing to deliver an e6 emulsion. Not Happy!

Seems like they're getting some complaints about the timing and getting a little defensive.

At least they're producing something. The goal for all of us should be to have a viable, stable company for us to enjoy their film for decades to come so I'm fine with them taking their time. It's a big job and incredibly difficult to get it done right.

I just hope they don't miss the window with the current buzz on film. Not sure it will last forever.

Well, I just wish that Kodak could bring their ektachrome back to the market as the news they released in the beginning of the year.
